Depression ๐Ÿ˜”

Depression is something that pretty much all of us experience/have experienced at least once in our lives, and it is absolutely disheartening how badly it affects people's mental health.

If you are going through depression at the moment, I HIGHLY suggest that you seek therapy, as depressive thoughts can really be hard to get rid of, especially during tough times.

For me, as someone who has had it quite severely, my advice to anyone who is looking to cure their depression, is to avoid ANYTHING that makes you feel uncomfortable in ANY way! For example, consuming films/books/movies/video games with self-harm. If you avoid horrific topics such as this, you are less likely gonna be thinking about them during your depression, which will reduce it's negative impact.

One way to reduce depression even more, is to find something that makes you happy, and think about EVERY LITTLE DETAIL as to why you enjoy it. A show/game/anime/etc. Think about how it made you feel when you first saw it! Then, 'if/when you can' I want you to go back to that thing that made you happy, and enjoy it once more! After that, your depression should hopefully be reduced.

if you still feel like your depressive thoughts are too much, then I strongly suggest that you seek help. (By therapy or by reaching out to people you trust) I can't promise they will help you, but there is always SOMEONE who can. You just need to keep looking, and to keep trying to get rid of the negativity! ๐Ÿซถ
